Update on Return to training

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to give a quick update on the reopening situation. Sorry it’s taken a while for this, been a lot going on with me recently.

I have decided to postpone the reopening until January 2021

We have got lots done for the re opening, we have all the safety equipment, hand sanitiser and signs ready, we have COVID compliance officer now in place and training completed, thanks sensei Steve, we have completed risk assessment and an action plan as required by the governing body and we have our NHS track and trace poster so judoka can “sign in” to the dojo as a venue, like a restaurant.

We are also setting up a new communication/payment solution using an app called Spond. This is going to take a bit longer to implement but when it’s up and running we will be able to communicate with all students/parents more effectively, keep records more accurately, setup events, polls and we will also have a payment system all in the one place allowing for easier management of this admin. https://spond.com/welcome

I want to thank all the volunteers that have helped get us this far and for all their hard work. I also want to say thank you to everyone for their support and patience with us as we try our level best to get back to the tatami.

I will try to give an update on where we are before Christmas with a video of what to expect when you come to training in the new year.

Sorry it’s been so long since we have been on the mat together but I hope to be back better than ever early in 2021

Mark
